Terms & Conditions of Sale
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before placing an order with BEARDED DRAGON HOME UK LTD, as they outline your legal rights and responsibilities under English law. By purchasing products through our website, over the telephone, or in-store, you agree to be bound by the terms detailed below. Nothing within these conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
Order Acceptance & Contract Formation
When an order is placed, you are offering to purchase products from BEARDED DRAGON HOME UK LTD. A binding contract is formed only once payment has been successfully received and confirmed by us. Confirmation of payment for Bank Transfer transactions will be issued via email once processed.
Any complimentary items supplied with an order remain outside the scope of the purchase contract and may be withdrawn or substituted at our discretion.
For orders exceeding £300, we may request valid photographic identification before dispatch or upon delivery. This measure is solely to protect against fraudulent transactions and to safeguard both our customers and business.
Governing Law
All transactions, website usage, and any disputes arising from purchases made with BEARDED DRAGON HOME LTD shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Product Information & Website Accuracy
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that all information displayed on our website, including product descriptions, stock levels, and pricing, is accurate and regularly updated. However, except in relation to pricing errors, we cannot guarantee that all content will always be completely current or error-free.
BEARDED DRAGON HOME UK LTD accepts no liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses resulting from reliance on information published on our website.
Store & Website Operations
Please note that our retail store and online shop operate independently. Pricing may vary between the two platforms, with online prices often reflecting lower operating costs. Delivery charges apply to website purchases where applicable, and in-store price matching against online pricing is not available.
Additionally, certain products available online may not be stocked within our physical premises due to storage limitations.
Livestock Guarantee & Animal Welfare Policy
1. Health Guarantee Upon Arrival
All reptiles supplied by BEARDED DRAGON HOME UK LTD are guaranteed to arrive alive, outwardly healthy, and free from visible external parasites.
Any Dead on Arrival (DOA) claims must be reported within 3 hours of confirmed delivery. Any other health-related concerns must be reported within 24 hours of receipt.
An authorised person must be available to accept delivery at the stated address. Failure to receive the shipment on the first delivery attempt may void all live arrival guarantees.
Customers are encouraged to contact us directly regarding any concerns before seeking third-party advice or treatment.
2. Seven-Day Captive Bred Livestock Guarantee
Captive bred reptiles and amphibians are covered by a 7-day health guarantee from the time of delivery.
To qualify for this guarantee, customers may be required to provide clear photographs of the enclosure setup, including temperature and humidity readings, to confirm that correct husbandry standards have been maintained.
3. Animal Sexing
We use accepted professional methods to determine the sex of animals where possible, including visual assessment, probing, popping, or palpation depending on the species and maturity of the animal.
However, due to natural biological variations and developmental factors, the sex of any animal cannot be guaranteed unless explicitly stated otherwise.
4. Captive Bred & Imported Livestock
All captive bred animals will be clearly identified. Any animal not specifically labelled as captive bred should be assumed to be field collected or imported.
Our guarantee applies only to the outward physical condition of the animal at the time of sale and does not extend to internal conditions or pre-existing underlying health issues that may not be externally detectable.
BEARDED DRAGON HOME LTD accepts no responsibility for veterinary fees, medical treatment costs, or associated expenses incurred after purchase.
Please note that field collected or wild caught animals may display minor cosmetic imperfections. Such imperfections are generally superficial and do not affect the overall health or wellbeing of the animal.
5. Shipping & Delivery Charges
All shipping, freight, and delivery charges are non-refundable.
In the event that a replacement animal is provided, customers remain responsible for any additional delivery costs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Cash refunds are not normally offered. Where refunds are approved at management discretion, original shipping charges remain non-refundable.
6. Product Photography
Images displayed on our website are intended as representative examples of the species or product advertised and may not depict the exact animal supplied unless specifically stated within the listing.
7. Identification Verification
Photo identification may be required for:
- Orders exceeding £399
- Transactions involving mismatched billing and delivery addresses
- Orders flagged for payment verification or security concerns
These procedures are in place to protect customers against potential fraudulent activity.
